Description: The Wicomico River is one of the major water bodies in Wicomico County. It is a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay and is of great concern regarding the health and wellbeing of the Chesapeake Bay and it's finite resources. Groups like Wicomico Creekwatchers among others monitor nutrient loading at various locations along the Wicomico River and other tributaries. Many of the lesser tributaries and ponds in this Feature layer also contribute to the Wicomico River.
